Watch Keeping
Capt. Henry Marx, Landfall Navigation
Date and Time: January 29, 8:30am

The Watch Schedule is very important because your crew MUST make the most of their "time below" to rest and relax. One of the hardest things for a Master to do at departure, once he has determined the watch schedule, is to encourage the crew not on watch at the time to rest in their bunks. Everyone starts off fresh and excited and want to stay awake like little kids on
Christmas Eve. However, in two days, that lost sleep is going to hurt not only the individuals but the crew as a whole.
