Be
sure to catch Captain Henry’s Safety Seminar:
"Outfitting
for Safety"
Capt.
Henry Marx, Landfall Navigation
Friday, January 23, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
This seminar is designed for the new boat owner and covers how
to equip your new yacht for safety above and beyond the minimum
USCG requirements. Capt. Henry Marx of Landfall Navigation will
help you identify the difference between inshore, coastal, and
offshore cruising and how your intended route and potential weather
conditions will influence the equipment you put on board.
You will become familiar with the gear you need ranging from PFDs
to distress signals to fire extinguishers. You will also discuss
the basics required for a proper medical kit, damage control kit,
and abandon ship bag and gear. This seminar will enable you to
equip your boat with the safety items you need to cruise in confidence.
